Responsibilities:
- Produce detailed millwork shop drawings, elevations, and construction documents for custom cabinetry and woodworking projects
- Collaborate with designers, project managers, and shop fabricators to translate design intent into accurate technical drawings
- Develop and maintain CAD/drafting files for custom millwork, built-ins, and architectural woodworking
- Review project specifications, blueprints, and client requirements to ensure drawing accuracy
- Perform material takeoffs and assist with estimating lumber, hardware, and component quantities
- Identify and resolve design conflicts or constructability issues prior to fabrication
- Update and revise drawings based on field conditions, client feedback, or engineering changes
Requirements:
- Experience in millwork drafting, architectural woodworking, or custom cabinetry design required
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Cabinet Vision, Microvellum, or similar)
- Strong understanding of wood joinery, cabinet construction methods, and millwork standards
- Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, blueprints, and specifications
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective communicator who can work cross-functionally with shop and design teams
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred
Compensation: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
